Hi there!

I’m Gillian — though everyone who knows me well calls me Gil.

I’m an actress and producer based in New York City, but I’m originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico — the Land of Enchantment, and in my completely unbiased opinion, one of the greatest places on earth. Growing up surrounded by desert light, big skies, and an unapologetically creative community shaped how I see the world. Storytelling wasn’t something I discovered later — it was just always there.

I trained at the New Mexico School for the Arts before moving to New York to attend NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where I earned my BFA in Drama with double minors in Producing and Business. I was one of twelve students admitted each year into the Tisch Dean’s Scholars program, receiving a full-ride scholarship for all four years.

At NYU, I trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, the Experimental Theatre Wing, and Stonestreet Studios, studying classical and contemporary performance as well as screen acting. My work is grounded in emotional specificity, physical awareness, and a deep respect for collaboration.

While acting is at the heart of what I do, producing is my day job, so to speak. I love the architecture of building something from the ground up — shaping the vision, solving problems, managing moving parts, and creating an environment where artists can do their best work. I’m drawn to intimate, character-driven stories and to making creative spaces feel both ambitious and deeply supportive.

As a child, I was a competitive swimmer… for a moment. Swimming taught me discipline, endurance, and how to stay calm under pressure, which turns out to be extremely useful in both performance and production.

Outside of film and theater, I run Gil’s Bakeshop, a small baking project where I develop and test my own bread and pastry recipes. It started as a creative outlet and quietly became a real operation — complete with custom menus, holiday drops, and very strong opinions about which style buttercream is the best. Baking feels a lot like producing to me: equal parts precision, instinct, timing, and love.
